Lavazza launches DIY Coffee Kit
To help customers to enjoy pure filter coffee and recreate café experience at home
Chennai, September 2018: Lavazza, the iconic Italian brand synonymous with art and culture globally, has launched DIY Coffee Kit as part of its unique initiative with twin objectives of promoting the consumption of pure filter coffee in the north, east and western markets of the country and educate customers to recreate their café experiences at the comfort of their homes.
Lavazza’s DIY Coffee Kit which is targeted at the millennials and iGen contains Il Mattino VIvace, its premium pure filter coffee, a traditional South Indian filter coffee apparatus, and Make Café Style Coffee, a booklet which has step-by-step recipes to create café style coffee in a simple manner.
Speaking about the launch of this new initiative, Jai Ganesh Ramnath, Managing Director Lavazza India, commented, “Lavazza as a brand believes in investing in helping our customers enjoy their coffee around the world. Today, the young generation in India wants to experience both traditional flavour and newer concoctions that they savour in café. Similarly, while filter coffee is the default morning beverage in South, in the north despite being popular many consumers today are not able to brew filter coffee. The Lavazza DIY Coffee Kit is our investment to nudge and educate customers so that they not only enjoy pure filter coffee but also go beyond and recreate their café experiences from the comfort of the homes.”
Lavazza launched Il Mattino Vivace, its first pure filter coffee product in India, last year. The company also invests in training barista and coffee aficionados at their Coffee Training Centre.
The DIY Coffee Kit is priced at Rs.350 per pack and will be available in hyper markets in the north, west and east India and e-commerce portals.
