Pro Kabaddi Season VI : Jaipur Pink Panthers set up their pre camp at Sathyabama University

Jaipur Pink Panthers set up their pre camp at Sathyabama University in Chennai and announce Anup Kumar as the Captain of the squad for Pro Kabaddi Season VI.

Jaipur Pink Panthers is pleased to announce Anup Kumar as the captain of the team for the upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi. Head Coach, Srinivas Reddy who headed the India team at the Kabaddi Masters, Dubai, quoted on the occasion, “Anup has all the experience to lead a team and has done so successfully at Pro Kabaddi and Kabaddi World Cup 2016. We and the management were eyeing Anup Kumar during the auctions as he is an ideal leader that a kabaddi team can have.” Captain Cool, Anup Kumar quoted, “For the first time, I am being a part of another franchise and it is different but not difficult here. The management is smooth and the team looks perfect. We will aim at lifting up the trophy this season! With Mohit Chhillar, Deepak Hooda, Nitin Rawal, Selvamani, Bajirao Hodage and others being a part of the team the squad looks perfect with equal amount of strategical experience and young agility.”

Jaipur Pink Panthers chose Chennai to train before the season kicks off on 7th October. Sathyabama University has offered their various facilities like gym and indoor stadium for mat practice to the franchise. Sathayabama University being home to various sports teams which represent the university at zonal and national levels is fully capable of accommodating the team’s fitness and practice requirements. Sathayabama University is termed as “Educational Partner” of the franchise as per the current association.

The team has been practicing in Chennai since 28th August 2018 and are here to stay till the end of the Chennai leg (11th October). Jaipur Pink Panthers are engaged in various fitness regimes which includes beach trainings and endurance building on different terrains across the city. All the Indian players have joined the camp and the foreign signs – David Mosambayi (Kenya) and Young Chang Ko (Korea) are to join the team for training sessions soon. The team comprises of 19 players
with 3 of them being a part of the National team who represented India at the Asian Games 2018.

Jaipur Pink Panthers are the inaugural champions of Pro Kabaddi league, owned by Bollywood star, Abhishek Bachchan. The team is currently led by Kabaddi’s most known face, Anup Kumar and coached by Srinivas Reddy. The team’s home ground is Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur.
