ISTD hosts national conference on corporate innovation
Chennai, June 9: The 47th National Conference of Indian Society of Training and Development was held at Hotel Hilton, Chennai. The theme of the conference is Corporate Innovation : The Conference Focused on Stories of Inspiration For sustainability and Growth.
Ranjan Kumar Mohaptra, Director – HR, IOCL – New Delhi, inaugurate the conference in the presence of Dr. R Karthikeyan National President, Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Founder Director, IIM Kozhikode and other office bearers of ISTD. 400 plus HR and L&D professionals from 50+ cities participated in the conference.
Dr.VinayshilGautam spoke about the earliest phase of innovation in HR, which evolved around HR Planning Activities, HR Information System, HR Accounting & Auditing, HR TD and Evaluation. He emphasized the role of innovation in integrating different elements like culture, biological, physchological, contextual and economic being incorporate into human relationships.
Delivering his presidential address, Ranjan Kumar Mohaptra Director – HR, IOCL New Delhi said “how simple idea has changed the lives of women in India in context with LPG for cooking (PAHAL). He also highlighted the successful story of a diagnostics start up turning into an MNC, thanks to the simple thought and innovation by connecting the essential medical needs with technology.
This two day conference concluded today with experts delivering inspiring talks on Innovations in the segments of PSU, Corporate/Starts-ups, NGOs and educational institutions.
